Rainfall: Rain or snow has occurred at isolated places in Himachal Pradesh and Jammu and Kashmir. Weather was dry in the rest of the region.

Temperatures: Past 24 hours change: Minimum temperatures fell in Himachal Pradesh and west Uttar Pradesh and changed little elsewhere. Departures: These were appreciably above normal in Haryana and east Uttar Pradesh, above normal in Jammu and Kashmir and east Rajasthan and normal in the rest of the region. The lowest temperature in the plains was 2.4°C recorded at Amritsar.

Forecast valid until the morning of December 24: Rain or snow is likely at isolated places in Himachal Pradesh and Jammu and Kashmir. Weather will be mainly dry in the rest of the region.
