Head Constable shoots neighbour in land dispute
Mohali, December 10
A 46-year-old resident of Mataor village was killed and his nephew critically injured when their neighbour, a head constable in the Punjab Police, went on a shooting spree here this morning. The three were involved in a long-standing land dispute in the village that came to a head today.

The Chairman of the Haryana Staff Selection Commission, Mr Amir Chand Chawla, along with two others, has been accused of assaulting a lawyer, and trying to kidnap him. The lawyer, Mr Ajay Gupta, had accidentally rammed his car into the Chairman’s Safari on the Zirakpur- Kalka highway this afternoon.
