3 per cent tax imposed on
commercial property

Chandigarh, November 22
Years after making the first move to levy property tax, the Chandigarh Administration today finally imposed the tax on commercial, industrial and institutional buildings in the city and specified an annual rate of 3 per cent of the value of the property. No tax has been imposed on residential property.

War veteran's pension stopped
