KVM finish runners-up
in inter-school shooting Ludhiana, August 31 According to Mr S C Saxena, Principal of the school, 19 shooters represented KVM School in this meet in the junior and sub-junior categories and bagged seven medals, including three gold and an equal number of silver medals. On the basis of their performance, 13 of them were selected for the nationals. The shooters of the school also enabled the Ludhiana district to lift the overall trophy in the 39th Punjab State Shooting Championship held in the first week of August clinching four out of 10 gold medals, which were at the stake, Mr Saxena said. The position holder shooters at Mohali were; Sachin Jain (gold) in the open sight air rifle for junior boys; Shivi Bansal (gold) in the open sight air rifle junior girls and Tanya Singhania (gold) in the air rifle open sight for sub-junior girls. Sargam Marwaha (silver) in the open sight air rifle for junior girls; Riddhi Kumra (silver) in the air rifle open-sight for sub junior girls and Jasleen (silver) in the air pistol for sub-junior girls. Aank Dhanda (bronze) in the air pistol for sub- junior boys. |
