Rainfall: Rain or thundershowers have occurred at most places in Uttaranchal, at many places in Himachal Pradesh and east Uttar Pradesh and at isolated places in Haryana and east Rajasthan. Weather was mainly dry in the rest of the region. The chief amount of rainfall in cms. are: Haryana: Jagadhari 3, Himachal Pradesh: Bangana 8, Bharwain 7, Nadaun 5, Dehragopipur 4, Barsar, Guler, Sujanpurtira and Solan 3 each and Paonta and Sundernagar 1 each, East Rajasthan: Mount Abu 3 and Jhalawar 1, East Uttar Pradesh: Sultanpur 2 and Uttaranchal: Dehradun 10 and Tehri 1.

Temperatures: past 24 hours change: Maximum temperatures fell in Uttaranchal and changed little elsewhere.

Departure: They were above normal in Jammu and Kashmir, appreciably below normal in Punjab and east Uttar Pradesh and Uttaranchal, below normal in Haryana and west Uttar Pradesh and normal in the rest of the region. The highest temperature in the region was 43.3°C recorded at Bikaner (Rajasthan).

Forecast valid until the morning of June 16: Rain or thundershowers will occur at many places in Himachal Pradesh, east Uttar Pradesh and Uttaranchal, at a few places in Punjab, Rajasthan and west Uttar Pradesh and at isolated places in the rest of the region.

Heavy rainfall warning: Isolated heavy rain/thundershowers are likely in Himachal Pradesh, east Uttar Pradesh and Uttaranchal during the next 48 hours.

Forecast for Delhi and neighbourhood valid until the morning of June 16: Partly cloudy sky with possibility of rain/thundershowers accompanied with squall in some areas. Maximum temperature will be around 38°C.
