Rainfall: Rain or thundershowers occurred at a few places in east Rajasthan. Weather was mainly dry in the rest of the region. Mount Abu (East Rajasthan) recorded 1 mm of rainfall.

Temperatures: Past 24 hours change: Maximum temperatures rose in Haryana, Jammu and Kashmir and west Rajasthan, fell in east Uttar Pradesh and changed little elsewhere.

Departure: They were appreciably above normal in Haryana, Himachal Pradesh, Jammu and Kashmir, Punjab and Uttaranchal, above normal in west Uttar Pradesh, below normal in east Rajasthan and normal in the rest of the region. The highest temperature in the region was 45.6 °C recorded at Sriganganagar.

Forecast valid until the morning of May 16: Rain/thundershowers are likely at isolated places in Himachal Pradesh, Jammu and Kashmir and Uttaranchal. Isolated duststorms/thunderstorms are likely in Haryana, Rajasthan and Uttar Pradesh. Weather will be mainly dry in Punjab.

Forecast for Delhi and neighbourhood valid until the morning of May 16: Mainly clear sky with dust haze. Likely to become partly cloudy towards evening with possibility of thundery development in some areas. Maximum temperature will be around 42 °C.
