Rainfall: Weather was dry over the region.

Temperatures: Past 24 hours change: Maximum temperatures rose in Jammu and Kashmir and changed little elsewhere.

Departures: These were markedly above normal in Haryana, Himachal Pradesh, Jammu and Kashmir, Punjab, Rajasthan and Uttaranchal and appreciably above normal in Uttar Pradesh. The highest temperature in the region was 43.4°C recorded at Kota (Rajasthan).

Forecast valid until the morning of April 17: Rain/thundershowers are likely at isolated places in Himachal Pradesh, Jammu and Kashmir and Uttaranchal. Isolated duststorms/thunderstorms are likely in the rest of the region.

Forecast for Delhi and neighbourhood valid until the morning of April 17: Partly cloudy sky with dust haze. Thundery development accompanied with squall is likely in some areas.

Farmers weather bulletin for Delhi forecast valid until the morning of April 17: Development of thundercloud is likely at a few places.

Squalls with wind speed exceeding 65 kmph are likely at isolated places.
