Rainfall: Rain or snow has occurred at many places in Jammu and Kashmir and at isolated places in Himachal Pradesh. Weather was mainly dry in the rest of the region. The chief amounts of precipitation in cms are: Jammu and Kashmir: Banihal, Batote and Pahalgam 1 each.

Temperatures: Past 24 hours change: Minimum temperatures fell in Jammu and Kashmir and changed little elsewhere. Departure: They were markedly above normal in Haryana and west Rajasthan, appreciably above normal in Himachal Pradesh, Punjab, east Rajasthan, west Uttar Pradesh and Uttaranchal and above normal in the rest of the region. The lowest temperature in the plains was 09.8°C recorded at Amritsar (Punjab).

Forecast valid until the morning of March 1: Rain or snow will occur at many places in Himachal Pradesh and Jammu and Kashmir and at isolated places in Uttaranchal. Rain or thundershowers are likely at isolated places in Uttar Pradesh. Weather will be mainly dry in the rest of the region.

Forecast for Delhi and neighbourhood valid until the morning of March 1: Mainly clear sky with dust haze. Minimum temperature will be around 15°C.
