The figures about the number of visitors to the Surajkund Crafts Mela, which concluded recently, seem to be exaggerated. The number of tickets sold during the fortnight-long fair do not tally with the numbers reeled out by the authorities on the last day.

Priceless idols looted from Uttaranchal recovered

With the arrest of three suspects, the Crime Branch of the Delhi Police today claimed to have recovered eight highly precious idols of archaeological value stolen from the government museum, Lakha Mandal Temple Complex, Chakrata, Dehradun, in Uttaranchal in December last year.
