Pollutants from distillery damage wheat crop
Sonepat, January 19
Standing wheat crop in about five acres of land was reportedly damaged by pollutants discharged from a distillery at Jahri village in this district. According to a report, this has caused a huge loss to the affected farmers of the village whose land was situated around the factory.

EMU trains turn into goods trains on

Sonepat, January 19
Almost all the suburban and EMU trains running on the Sonepat-Panipat section of the Northern Railway have turned into goods trains due to the failure of the Government Railway Police (GRP) and the Railway Protection Force (RPF) to check the milk vendors and suppliers of goods travelling in these trains with their huge containers.

Two held for theft

The Rai police arrested two youths during the night patrolling near Deepalpur village about 15 km from here last night.
According to a report, the police also recovered stolen goods from their possession which were being taken to Delhi for sale.
