Rainfall: Rain or snow has occurred at a few places in Uttaranchal. Weather was mainly dry in the rest of the region.

Temperatures: Past 24 hours change: Minimum temperatures fell appreciably in East Rajasthan and Uttaranchal, fell in Punjab, rose in Jammu and Kashmir and east Uttar Pradesh and changed little elsewhere. Departure: They were markedly above normal in Haryana, appreciably above normal in Jammu and Kashmir and East Uttar Pradesh, above normal in Himachal Pradesh, Punjab and West Rajasthan and normal in the rest of the region. The lowest temperature in the plains was 3.7°C recorded at Amritsar.

Forecast valid until the morning of January 21: Rain or snow is likely at a few places in Himachal Pradesh and Uttaranchal and at isolated places in Jammu and Kashmir. Weather will be mainly dry in the rest of the region. Forecast for Delhi and neighbourhood valid until the morning of January 21: Cold day. Mainly cloudy sky. Fog till forenoon. Minimum temperature will be around 8°C.
