Examine convicts’ cases afresh, says Governor

Release of 41 convicts serving life sentence has been held back as the Governor of Punjab, Justice
O.P. Verma, has returned the file to the state government for examining it afresh in the light of a recent Supreme Court verdict which stalled the release of life convicts by the Haryana Government.
