Temperatures: past 24-hour change: Minimum temperatures fell in east Uttar Pradesh and changed little elsewhere.

Departure: They were below normal in Jammu and Kashmir, above normal in east Rajasthan and normal in the rest of the region. The lowest temperature in the plains was 1.5°C recorded at Amritsar.

Forecast valid until the morning of December 24: Rain or snow is likely at isolated places in Himachal Pradesh, Jammu and Kashmir and Uttaranchal. Weather will be mainly dry in the rest of the region.

Forecast for Delhi and neighbourhood valid until the morning of December 24: Cold day. Fog till forenoon. Partly cloudy sky later. Minimum temperature will be around 8°C.
