At the summit in an Indonesian resort, Bali, India and ASEAN would be signing two more accords — a framework agreement, which would be a precursor to a free trade arrangement, and on India’s accession to the treaty of amity and cooperation with South East Asia. Mr Vajpayee would also participate in ASEAN business and investors’ forum on Octobar 7. Mr Sibal said the accord on terrorism with ASEAN — whose members including Indonesia, the Philippines and Singapore have been hit by activities of Al-Jamiah terrorist group — would be on the lines of the accord to fight terrorism reached by ASEAN and the USA.
