Schemes to solve housing shortage

The Haryana Housing Board has drawn up new schemes for the towns of Panipat, Karnal, Ambala, Hisar, Rohtak and Faridabad to meet the housing problem.
According to a report, in view of the problem of land scarcity, particularly in the towns like Panchkula, Faridabad and Gurgaon, the board has realised the necessity of vertical development of housing stock under the Group Housing Schemes.
Disruption in water supply: Sunday holiday goes for a toss

Water supply in the old section of the city remained disrupted for most part of the day due to the bursting of a water pipeline in Chhota Halwai Hatta.
The residents, particularly the women, were severely troubled, as they had to fetch water from distant places to meet their requirements. The need for water was severely felt today as Sunday being a holiday, most of the family members remained at home.
