Rainfall: Rain or thundershowers have occurred at isolated places in Himachal Pradesh and Jammu and Kashmir. Weather was dry in the rest of the region. Banihal (Jammu and Kashmir) recorded 1 cm of rainfall.

Temperatures: Past 24 hours change: Maximum temperatures changed a little. Departures: They were markedly above normal in Himachal Pradesh, east Rajasthan and Uttaranchal and appreciably above normal in the rest of the region. The highest temperature in the region was 48.0°C recorded at Banda (Uttar Pradesh).

Forecast valid until the morning of June 6: Rain or thundershowers are likely at a few places in Himachal Pradesh and Jammu and Kashmir and at isolated places in Uttaranchal. Isolated dust storm/thunderstorm is likely in the rest of the region.

Forecast for Delhi and neighbourhood valid until the morning of June 6: Heat wave conditions are prevailing. They are likely to abate during next one or two days.
