New BSNL tariff for G. B. Nagar to benefit rural users
Noida, May 21
The BSNL has announced a new telecom tariff for the consumers in Gautam Budh Nagar district under which calls from Noida to Almora, Haldwani, Pilibhit, and Pithorgarh districts will cost half with 30 sec. pulse, compared to previous 15 sec. pulse and all these stations are now available on 95 facilities.

No hearing by HC on officials’ bail plea

Hearing on the bail petitions of three DDA officials could not take place in the Delhi High Court even today as the file relating to their cases did not reach the Chief Justice’s Bench, which was to take a decision about assigning the matter to a new judge after two of the judges had declined to entertain the bail plea.

Youth hacked to death by cousins
Jhajjar: A 24-year-old youth was reportedly hacked to death by his cousins when he was asleep in Jasaur Kheri village of the district last night. According to information, the deceased, Sunil, son of Shyam, was sleeping in his house situated at the outskirts of the village with his wife, Rimpi, when two persons attacked him with sharp-edged weapons around midnight.

Doctor found guilty, asked to pay Rs 4 lakh to patient

The District Consumers Redressal Forum, headed by Amrit Kirpal Singh, has found a doctor guilty of the lapse in operating a woman patient and ordered the payment of Rs 4 lakh with 10 per cent annual interest to her within 30 days after the issuing of the order.
