Rainfall: Weather was dry over the region.

Temperatures: Past 24 hours change: Maximum temperatures fell appreciably in east Uttar Pradesh and changed a little elsewhere. Departure: They were markedly below normal in east Uttar Pradesh, below normal in Haryana, above normal in Himachal Pradesh and normal in the rest of the region. The highest temperature in the region was 33.4°C recorded at Jalore (Rajasthan).

Past 24 hours change: Minimum temperatures rose appreciably in Rajasthan, rose in Himachal Pradesh and changed a little elsewhere. Departures: They were above normal in Jammu and Kashmir and Rajasthan, below normal in west Uttar Pradesh and normal in the rest of the region. The lowest temperature in the plains was 10.6°C recorded at Adampur (Punjab).

Forecast valid until the morning of March 16 Rain or snow is likely at a few places in Himachal Pradesh and Jammu and Kashmir and at isolated places in Uttaranchal. Rain or thundershowers are likely at isolated places in Haryana, Punjab and north Rajasthan. Weather will be mainly dry in the rest of the region.

Forecast for Delhi and neighbourhood valid until the morning of March 16: Partly cloudy sky. Possibility of thundery development in some areas. Maximum and minimum temperatures will be around 28°C and 15°C, respectively.
