Rainfall: Rain or snow has occurred at isolated places in Himachal Pradesh and Jammu and Kashmir. Rain or thundershowers have occurred at isolated places in west Rajasthan. Weather was mainly dry in the rest of the region. Banihal (Jammu and Kashmir) recorded 1 cm of precipitation. Snowfall report (in cms) are: Himachal Pradesh: Patsio 6 and Dhundhi 2.

Temperatures: Past 24 hours change: Minimum temperatures rose in Himachal Pradesh, Jammu and Kashmir, Punjab, west Rajasthan and west Uttar Pradesh and changed little elsewhere. Departures: They were largely above normal in west Rajasthan, markedly above normal in east Rajasthan, appreciably above normal in Haryana, Himachal Pradesh, Jammu and Kashmir, Punjab and east Uttar Pradesh, above normal in the rest of the region.

The lowest temperature in the plains was 11.9°C recorded at Amritsar (Punjab).

Forecast valid until the morning of March 1: Rain or snow will occur at many places in Himachal Pradesh and Jammu and Kashmir and at a few places in Uttaranchal. Rain or thundershowers are likely at isolated places in Haryana, Punjab and north Rajasthan. Weather will be mainly dry in the rest of the region.

Forecast for Delhi and neighbourhood valid until the morning of March 1: Mainly cloudy sky with possibility of light rain or thundershowers. Minimum temperature will be around 16°C.
