PSEB raids 170 premises

The Enforcement Wing of the Punjab State Electricity Board (PSEB) today carried out large scale raids on all categories of consumers across the state. The board has constituted 39 teams for the purpose and raids were today carried in Amritsar and Jalandhar.

IT Dept, industry should ‘interact’

The Income Tax Department has sought the cooperation of the industry for its smooth functioning and mutual benefit. Addressing a function organised by the Chamber of Industrial and Commercial Undertakings (CICU), the Chief Commissioner of Income Tax, Mr Sudhakar Verma, emphasised on the need for greater interaction between the department and the industry.

PSB sets Rs 1150 cr business target

The Ludhiana zone of Punjab and Sind Bank (PSB) which has already crossed the total business of Rs 1050 crore has set a further target of Rs 1150 crore by the end of this financial year ending March 31.

10 lakh students enrolled with IGNOU

Mr V.C. Pandey, Regional Director, Punjab while talking to Ludhiana Tribune said,” Indira Gandhi National Open University has established itself as one of the biggest universities providing higher education to more than 10 lakh students at present. He said it had a total of 10 per cent more enrollment than other universities of India.

Fashion designing exhibition
Ludhiana, February 8
The D.D. Jain Institute of Computer Sciences and Vocational Studies (fully accredited by the DOEACC, Government of India for ‘O’ level), behind Mini Rose Garden, Kidwai Nagar, here, today organised a two-day exhibition of fashion and textile designing. Mrs Bhawna Garg, SDM (East), here inaugurated this exhibition and appreciated the efforts made by staff and students.
