Minimum temperatures rose in Haryana, east Rajasthan and east Uttar Pradesh and changed a little elsewhere. Departures: They were appreciably above normal in Haryana and east Rajasthan, above normal in Himachal Pradesh, west Rajasthan, east Uttar Pradesh and Uttaranchal, below normal in Punjab and normal in the rest of the region. The lowest temperature in the plains was 4.2°C recorded at Amritsar.
