New Delhi: India, after their recent success in away series in England, Sri Lanka and at home against West Indies, now look forward to a series victory in New Zealand when they take on the Kiwis in a two-Test and seven one-day international series. If India manage to upstage the Kiwis in their own backyard, India would be recording a Test series victory abroad after a gap of 16 years. The Test series will be live on Star Sports while the ODI series will be telecast live on ESPN. The Test matches will be played at Wellington from December 12 to 16 and at Hamilton from December 19 to 23. The matches will start at 3.25 am IST.

The one-day matches will be played at Auckland (Dec. 26), Napier (Dec 29), Christchurch (Jan. 1), Queenstown (Jan. 4), Wellington (Jan.8), Auckland (Jan.11) and Hamilton (Jan. 14). Following their professional performances in the NatWest Triangular Series in England and later in Sri Lanka, the Indian team have evolved into a well-coordinated and professional combination. They have come together as a fine unit with great success even in the absence of Sachin Tendulkar. Virender Sehwag, Rahul Dravid, VVS Laxman and Sanjay Bangar have all rallied around Sourav Ganguly when the situation demanded. Zaheer, Agarkar, Yohannan and Harbhajan will lead the bowling charge in the absence of Srinath and Kumble. OSR
