Demand to establish
electrohomoeopathy directorate
Our Correspondent

Ludhiana, December 8
The Electrohomoeopathic Doctor’s Association has demanded the establishment of an electrohomoeopathy directorate in the state.

Dr K.S.Khaira, president, Electrohomoeopathic Students Welfare Wing Punjab, while talking to mediapersons here yesterday said that the Director Health and Family Welfare, Punjab cleared in the letter number Drugs (1) Pb 2002, 3674-76 dated March 23, 2002, that there was no ban on the practice of electrohomoeopathy medicine on the direction of the Punjab and Haryana High Court. After that there started vast mushrooming of electrohomoeopathy medical institutes due to the non-existence of any law regarding electrohomoeopathy or electrohomoeopathy directorate.

Dr Khaira alleged that some of these medical institutes were fake, claiming to be authorised by the Ministry of Health and Family Welfare. “Some colleges are blackmailing the students in issuing detail marks certificates. The list of four such students, who submitted the full fees of the previous year, is with us. The Delhi High Court had also directed the Central and State Governments to make a legislation regarding electrohomoeopathy within six months. In the year 2000, even the Supreme Court of India gave the same directions, but except Chhattisgarh state, other state governments did not follow the directions”, alleged Dr Khaira.

Dr M.S.Dhillon, president Electrohomoeopathic Doctor’s Association Punjab, said that the 194th birth anniversary of Count Ceasre Mattie, the founder of electrohomoeopathy will be celebrated at, Kotkapura on January 11, 2003, in which researchers of electrohomoeopathy system from all over the world will share their views. Dr Dhillon said that Tarsem Singh, general secretary, EDAP, has been appointed the convener of Punjab by Electrohomoeopathic Practitioners Association of India.
