Cops dub it encounter, kin calls it murder

The North West District Police today claimed to have killed two dreaded criminals and arrested two others following a fierce encounter in the Najafgarh area late last night. No policeman was injured in the exchange of fire.

The Delhi Police’s handling of criminals once again came under the scanner with the relatives of the two persons killed in an encounter near Jarodha village alleging that the duo were murdered in cold blood.

Traders of the wholesale market in Khari Baoli downed their shutters today following a clash with a raiding party of the Income Tax Department. Two employees of a trader were injured in the clash. They were discharged after first aid.

Wife battered to death by hubby, buried in courtyard
Jhajjar, October 17
In yet another bizarre crime against women in the district, an eight-month-old pregnant woman was bludgeoned to death by her alcoholic husband in Samaspur Majra village of the district a week ago. He dug a pit in the courtyard of his house and buried the body, which was recovered yesterday.

Suicide becomes case of murder after inquiry
Rewari, October 17
Following the receipt of the report of enquiry conducted by Mr Raj Singh, DSP, Crime Branch, Faridabad, the Khol police have now registered a case of murder under Section 302 of the IPC in connection with the unnatural death of Ram Pal Yadav, Agriculture Development Officer (ADO) of Dahina village.
