Rainfall: Weather was dry over the region.

Temperatures: Past 24 hours change: Maximum temperatures rose in Jammu and Kashmir and changed a little elsewhere. Departure: They were markedly above normal in west Rajasthan, appreciably above normal in Himachal Pradesh, Jammu and Kashmir, east Rajasthan and Uttaranchal, above normal in Uttar Pradesh and normal in the rest of the region.

The highest temperature in the region was 42.2°C recorded at Jalore (Rajasthan).

Past 24 hours change: Minimum temperatures rose in Punjab and changed a little elsewhere. Departure: They were normal in the region.

The lowest temperature in the plains was 16.°C recorded at Sarsawa (Uttar Pradesh).

Forecast valid until the morning of October 5: Weather will be mainly dry over the region.

Forecast for Delhi and neighbourhood valid until the morning of October 5: Clear Sky. Maximum and minimum temperatures will be around 35°C and 21°C respectively.
