Plot to kill Advani: charges today
Mumbai, September 8
A local court would on Monday frame charges against six alleged members of the Dawood Ibrahim gang in a case of alleged conspiracy to kill politicians, including Union Home Minister L.K. Advani. The charges will be framed by Sessions Judge D.V. Marathe who on June 27 directed the state to supply copies of ballistic reports and sanction for prosecution to defence lawyer Majeed Memon. The High Court has ordered expeditious trial in this case. The state government had appointed Mr Srikant Bhatt as Special Public Prosecutor. PTI

RICA head found dead

G. Radhakrishna, Director of the Regional Institute of Correctional Administration here was found hanging from a ceiling fan, the police said. His body was found hanging from the ceiling fan in his room when his family members broke open the door on Saturday afternoon. The police is investigating the cause of the death. UNI
