Rainfall: Rain or thundershowers have occurred at most places in east Rajasthan, at many places in Himachal Pradesh, at a few places in Jammu and Kashmir, west Rajasthan and Uttaranchal and at isolated places in the rest of the region. The chief amounts of rainfall in cm. are: Haryana: Naraingarh 7, Pehowa and Tajewala 3 each and Jhajjar, Kalka and Thanesar 1 each, Chandigarh 2, Himachal Pradesh: Dharamsala, Kandaghat, Nahan and Pandoh 1 each, Jammu and Kashmir: Pahalgam and Srinagar 1 each, Punjab: Patiala 2 and Uttaranchal: Joshimath 6 and Banbasa and Uttarkashi 3 each.

Forecast valid until the morning of September 4: Rain or thundershowers will occur at many places in Himachal Pradesh, Jammu and Kashmir and Punjab, at a few places in Haryana, east Rajasthan and Uttaranchal and at isolated places in the rest of the region.
