Hardcore criminal held, arms recovered
New Delhi, March 5
Praveen alias Pappu, a dreaded criminal involved in more than eight cases of robbery, attempt to murder and theft was nabbed by the PCR staff posted at Bomdola bus stand near Kapashera in Nazafgarh road on Monday.

Gang of auto-lifters busted
New Delhi, March 5
With the arrest of four auto-lifters, the South district police claimed to have solved six cases of auto-theft. The gang was also receiver of stolen vehicles. The accused Haider Ali, Nasir, Anish Khan and Kallu, all residents of Savitri Nagar, were specialists in stealing Yamaha motorcycles.

Cash, valuables stolen from two houses
Noida, March 5
Criminals broke into two houses in Sector 19 and 58 here and decamped with Rs 50,000, jewellery and other valuables. The total losses have been estimated to be around Rs 2 lakh.

The students have served a notice on electricity department to improve the supply of power or face their agitation in Noida. IOCL to meet GAIL in PSCB Tennis final

Indian Oil Corporation Ltd (IOCL) defeated IBP 2-0 to set-up the title clash with GAIL, who defeated ONGC 2-0, in the 21st Petroleum Sports Control Board Tennis Tournament at the Delhi Lawn Tennis Association courts in the Capital on Wednesday.

A swashbuckling all-round performance by Puran Singh (63, 3x6, 5x4, 41b and 8 for 31) enabled World Bank beat Sri Lankan High Commission by 150 runs in a league match of the Raymond Trophy Commonwealth Cricket Tournament at the Jawaharlal Nehru Stadium ground. Puran Singh was declared the man of the match.
