Monsoon has been active in east Uttar Pradesh and Uttaranchal.

Rainfall: Rain or thundershowers have occurred at many places in east Uttar Pradesh and Uttaranchal, at a few places in Himachal Pradesh and east Rajasthan and at isolated places in Haryana and Jammu and Kashmir. Weather was mainly dry in the rest of the region. The chief amounts of rainfall in cm are — Himachal Pradesh: Kangra 1; east Rajasthan: Toda Bhim 5, Mount Abu 4, Shahabad 2 and Agai, Amer, Bassi, Ramgarh and Rajakhera 1 each; east Uttar Pradesh: Bani 20, Lucknow 6, Bhatpurwaghat and Palliakalan 5 each, Allahabad, Dalmau and Hanuman Setu (Lucknow) 4 each, Anmkinghat, Ballia, Biredghat, Fatehgarh, Gorakhpur, Sharedanagar and Varanasi 3 each, Ayodhya, Ghazipur, Mohana, Rai Bareilly and Sultanpur 2 each and Hamirpur, Kakardharighat, Neemsar and Shahjina 1 each; and Uttaranchal: Dehra Dun 8, Banbasa 6, Marora 5, Haripur 3, Bausan, Hardwar and Pantnagar 2 each and Rudraprayag 1.

Forecast valid until the morning of August 21: Rain or thundershowers will occur at most places in Uttaranchal, at many places in Himachal Pradesh, Jammu and Kashmir and Uttar Pradesh, at a few places in Haryana, Punjab and east Rajasthan and at isolated places in west Rajasthan.

Heavy rainfall warning: Heavy rain is likely at isolated places in Uttar Pradesh and Uttaranchal during the next 48 hours.

Forecast for Delhi and neighbourhood valid until the morning of August 21: Generally cloudy sky with one or two showers/thundershowers in some areas.

Farmers’ weather bulletin for Delhi: Forecast valid until the morning of August 21: Light to moderate rain will occur at a few places.

Outlook for the subsequent two days: No large change.
