New Delhi, June 19
Rainfall: Rain or thundershowers have occurred at many places in east Uttar Pradesh and Uttaranchal and at isolated places in east Rajasthan and west Uttar Pradesh. Weather was mainly dry in the rest of the region. The chief amounts of rainfall in cm are: Rajasthan: Udaipur 2, Uttar Pradesh: Neemsar 11, Bani 7, Elginbridge and Katerniaghat 6 each, Sultanpur 5, Lucknow and Regoli 4 each, Jhansi 3, Chandradepghat 2 and Allahabad, Ayodhya, Ballia, Jaunpur, Palliakalan and Shardanagar 1 each and Uttaranchal: Banbasa and Marora 3 each.

Temperature: Past 24 hours change: Maximum temperatures rose appreciably in Haryana, Himachal Pradesh, Jammu and Kashmir, Punjab and east Rajasthan, rose in west Rajasthan, fell in west Uttar Pradesh and changed little elsewhere.

Departures: They were largely below normal in west Uttar Pradesh, markedly below normal in Punjab and east Uttar Pradesh, appreciably below normal in Haryana, west Rajasthan and Uttaranchal, below normal in Jammu and Kashmir and east Rajasthan and normal in Himachal Pradesh. The highest temperature in the region was 39.2°C recorded at Churu (Rajasthan).

Forecast valid until the morning of June 20: Rain or thundershowers will occur at many places in east Uttar Pradesh, at a few places in west Uttar Pradesh and Uttaranchal and at isolated places in the rest of the region.

Heavy rainfall warning: Heavy rain is likely at isolated places in east Uttar Pradesh during next 48 hours.

Farmers weather bulletin for Delhi: Forecast valid until the morning of June 20: Light rain is likely at a few places.

Outlook for the subsequent two days: No large change.Top
