Rainfall: Rain or thundershowers have occurred at isolated places in Haryana, Himachal Pradesh, Jammu and Kashmir and Punjab. Weather was mainly dry in the rest of the region. The chief amounts of rainfall in cms are: Himachal Pradesh: Baijnath 8 and Kangra 2; Jammu and Kashmir: Katra 1; Punjab: Nakodar 1.

Temperature: Past 24 hours change: Maximum temperatures fell appreciably in Himachal Pradesh and west Rajasthan, fell in Jammu and Kashmir and east Rajasthan, rose appreciably in Uttar Pradesh, rose in Uttaranchal and changed little elsewhere. 

Departures: These were largely below normal in Haryana, Himachal Pradesh and Punjab, markedly below normal in west Uttar Pradesh and Uttaranchal, appreciably below normal in Rajasthan and east Uttar Pradesh and below normal in the rest of the region. The highest temperature in the region was 39.4C° recorded at Barmer (Rajasthan).

Forecast valid until the morning of 8th June: Rain or thundershowers are likely at a few places in Himachal Pradesh and Jammu and Kashmir, at isolated places in Haryana, Punjab, Uttar Pradesh and Uttaranchal. Weather will be mainly dry in the rest of the region. Thundersqualls are likely at isolated places in Haryana, Himachal Pradesh and Punjab.

Forecast for Delhi and neighbourhood valid until the morning of 8th June: Mainly clear sky with possibility of thundery development and light rain accompanied with squall in some areas. Maximum temperature will be around 36C°.

Farmers weather bulletin for Delhi: Forecast valid until the morning of 8th June: Light rain is likely at a few places. Squalls with wind speed exceeding 65 km/h are likely at isolated places.

Outlook for the subsequent two days: No large change.
