Rainfall: Rain or thundershowers have occurred at many places in Haryana, at a few places in Uttar Pradesh and at isolated places in Himachal Pradesh, Punjab, east Rajasthan and Uttaranchal. Weather was dry in the rest of the region. The chief amounts of rainfall in cms are: Haryana: Kaithal 3, Rewari and Uchana 2 each and Ayanagar (Delhi), Ambala, Delhi Ridge, Hisar, Narwana and Panipat 1 each. Himachal Pradesh: Pandoh 8, Bangana 3, Gohar 2 and Baijnath and Katuala 1 each, Rajasthan: Pilani 2 and Uttar Pradesh: Gorakhpur 10, Sultanpur 9 and Agra 1.

Temperature: Past 24 hours change: Maximum temperatures rose appreciably in Haryana and Punjab, rose in Jammu and Kashmir and changed little elsewhere. The highest temperature in the region was 43.8 C recorded at Suratgarh A.P. (Rajasthan).

Forecast valid until the morning of June 3: Rain or thundershowers will occur at many places in Uttar Pradesh, at a few places in Haryana, Himachal Pradesh, Jammu and Kashmir, Punjab and Uttaranchal and at isolated places in east Rajasthan. Weather will be mainly dry in west Rajasthan. Thundersqualls/thunderstorms are likely at a few places with severe thunderstorms accompanied with heavy rain at isolated places in Uttar Pradesh. Thundersqualls are also likely at isolated places in Haryana, Himachal Pradesh and Punjab.Top
