HP, Kashmir NEW DELHI, Jan 19 — Cold wave conditions continue to prevail in parts of Haryana, Chandigarh, Punjab, north Rajasthan and Uttar Pradesh. They are likely to abate during next two days. Cold wave conditions have abated from Jammu and Kashmir. Rainfall: Rain or snow has occurred at isolated places in Jammu and Kashmir. Weather was dry in the rest of the region. The chief amounts of snowfall in cms are Jammu and Kashmir: Bimbetle and Firmbsse 11 each, Pather 5 and Jinala and Reinari 4 each. Temperature: Past 24 hours change: Minimum temperatures fell in Punjab and changed little elsewhere. Departures: They were appreciably above normal in Himachal Pradesh, below normal in the remaining parts of Haryana, Punjab and Uttar Pradesh and normal in the rest of the region. The lowest temperature in the plains was 1.5°C recorded at Amritsar in Punjab. Forecast valid until the morning of 21st: Rain or snow is likely at a few places in Jammu and Kashmir and at isolated places in Himachal Pradesh. Rain or thundershowers are likely at isolated places in Punjab. Weather will be mainly dry in the rest of the region.
