Clinton writes to Musharraf
ISLAMABAD, Jan 19 (PTI) — US Ambassador to Pakistan William B. Milam has handed over a letter from outgoing President Bill Clinton to military ruler General Pervez Musharraf which spoke about Islamabad-Washington relations, officials said. An official spokesman said, “It was a routine meeting and the US Ambassador came to hand over the letter that is the last by President Clinton, who is departing from the White House soon”.

Rizvi remanded
MUMBAI, Jan 19 (PTI) — Film producer Nasim Rizvi, facing charge of alleged nexus with the underworld, was today remanded to judicial custody till January 22 by a special court here even as the prosecution declared that it would hand over copies of FIR and remand application to all the accused in the case. Film financer Bharat Shah has also been remanded in judicial custody till January 22 under the Maharashtra Control of Organised Crime Act. The Mumbai High Court had yesterday rejected his bail petition as he did not press for liberty but held that he was entitled to get copies and remand application.
