Torrent of misery, chaos reigns
CHANDIGARH, Sept 13 — Torrential rain lashed the city and its surrounding areas this afternoon, resulting in flooding of roads. Several two-wheelers and cars were left stranded in the gushing waters, leading to traffic snarls, besides some minor accidents.The rain that started around 3.30 p.m. reduced visibility on the roads. It also hit the business of roadside vendors and mechanics.

CHANDIGARH, Sept 13 — UT Education Secretary N.K.Jain has punished Mr Dilbagh Singh, a Punjabi lecturer in Government College, Sector 46, by stopping two of his increments without cumulative effect.
