10-year-old boy
washed away in Ghaggar
PANCHKULA,
July 20 A 10-year-old boy, Jaswant, of a
migrant labour family was swept away by the
turbulent Ghaggar waters a few metres downstream
the Nadha Sahib bridge here this afternoon. The
victim's 15-year-old cousin, Lala Ram, who was
accompanying him, was, however, rescued by local
residents assisted by officials of the district
administration.
Census 2001 pre-test on in

afternoon urged the Chandigarh Administration to
immediately end the "thekedari system" in the
