30 feared dead BEIJING, July 20 (DPA) More than 30 persons were feared dead after a bus with 35 passengers careened off a highway and plunged into a river in southwestern China's Sichuan province, the state media reported today. The driver of the bus from Chengdu lost control of the vehicle on a windy road in Wenchuan county and plunged more than 10 metres into the Minjiang river on Sunday, the Xinhua news agency said, quoting a survivor. |
