Major state highways upgraded, says Bansi Lal CHANDIGARH, Jan 26 (UNI) Haryana Chief Minister Bansi Lal today announced that major state highways and a district road have been declared as national highways by the Union Government recently. He was speaking after unfurling national flag on the occasion of Republic Day at Panchkula. The Chief Minister said that most of the promises had been fulfilled during the past 32 months. The promise to provide round-the-clock power would also be fulfilled by June this year. He enlisted various steps being taken by the government to improve the availability of power and said that power plants of 1000 MW each would be set up at Yamunanagar and Hisar in the first phase, plants of 500 MW each would be set up, he added. titled 'Bharatpur ka Rajnaitik Itihas' written by freedom
fighter Ram Singh Jakhar. He also honoured Miss Anuradha,
a judo player who had participated in the recent Asian
games and Mr Sudhir Dhamija who had won gold medal at the
national children science congress at Chennai in 1998. |
HISAR, Jan 26 (UNI) The third All-India Radio (AIR) station in Haryana commenced its relay here today. The other two radio stations are located in Rohtak and Kurukshetra. Hisar akashwani Assistant Director Vinod Mehta told newspersons here that the new radio station would have a range of 60 km and could be heard at FM band at 102.3 MHz daily between 2.55 pm to 9.15 pm. Mr Mehta said, '"Apart from routine programmes the search of talent among youth, programmes related to agriculture, education and culture would be given preference. |
