Author Khushwant Singh dead 
NEW DELHI: Noted author and journalist Khushwant Singh died here today at the age of 99. His son and journalist Rahul Singh said he passed away very peacefully at his residence in Sujan Singh Park here.

Cong gets Manish Tewari on board for Ludhiana seat
New Delhi, March 19
The Congress today got Information and Broadcasting Minister Manish Tewari on board to contest from his current parliamentary constituency of Manish Tewari Ludhiana. His name will be announced as and when the party’s fourth list of candidates is released which could be late tonight. Former Punjab MP Surinder Singla today wrote to party’s central leaders suggesting name of AICC general secretary Ambika Soni for the Amritsar seat.

Pak to decide on MFN tag to India tomorrow
New Delhi, March 19
New Delhi is hopeful that the Pakistan Cabinet will decide in favour of granting the Most Favoured Nation (MFN) status to India when it meets in Islamabad on Friday. “We have been hearing that the Pakistan Cabinet will finally accord the MFN status to India...let’s hope it happens now...it’s already too late,” an official source said. It is, however, learnt that instead of the MFN status, Pakistan could announce Non-Discriminatory Market Access (NDMA) for India.
