Narnaul, March 19
Haryana Public Health Minister Kiran Choudhry was injured when some unidentified persons pelted her with stones during campaigning in Koriyavaas village, about 7 km from here, on Wednesday evening. She suffered injuries on the neck and chest and was admitted to a hospital in Narnaul in an unconscious condition. A few persons also sustained minor injuries in the attack.

Her supporters in large numbers gathered at the hospital as the news of attack spread in the region.

Kiran was addressing a meeting in the village when stones were hurled at her.. “Kiran Choudhry suffered injuries on the chest when someone hurled stones at her taking the advantage of the darkness,” Mahendragarh SP Jagat Singh said.

The attackers will be identified and nabbed soon, he said. Kiran Chaudhary's daughter and Congress nominee from Bhiwani - Mahindergarh constituency Shruti Choudhry alleged that the attack took place at the behest of BJP candidate Dharambir Singh.

"We are shifting her (Kiran) to Medicity, Gurgaon," said Shruti. Dharambir Singh could not be contacted despite repeated attempts.
