Getting 'No Objection Certificates' will now be easier for all political parties for organizing rallies and processions as the Chief Electoral Office has decided to start a new portal for all such clearances which will work as single-window system.

The representatives from Delhi Fire Service, Delhi Police, the electricity department and the land owning authorities will be part of the portal in order to make it simpler and easier," said Ankur Garg, chief nodal officer for the Delhi Assembly elections.

DU employee’s death
Principal suspended
Tribune News Service

New Delhi, October 11
As protests demanding action on allegations and death of former DU employee's case led by the DUCKU joined by DU faculty, students, teachers and the AAP continued at Ambedkar College, the accused principal, GK Arora, was today suspended pending judicial inquiry ordered by the Delhi Government following a governing body meeting of the college.

After the meeting, whose venue was shifted in the last minute to Haryana Bhawan in view of the protests at the college, the governing body recommended the principal's suspension to DU VC who approved it.

Dr Misra, who sat on one-day hunger strike along with six other employees in solidarity of DUCKU's agitation at the college said, "Though we appreciate suspension of the principal, the matter should have been inquired by an inquiry committee of its own as the inquiry by any other agency does not carry similar legal weightage in the context of DU acts and ordinances."

DUTA president Nandita Narain said the collective effort of students, teachers and karmacharis in putting pressure on the authorities has resulted in this decision.
