6 drug peddlers held

Phagwara, June 2
The police arrested six drug peddlers and recovered 450 gm intoxicant powder and 20 kg puppy husks from their possession. HPS Khakh, SP, Phagwara, said 260 gm intoxicant powder was recovered from Malkiat Singh Mal of Village Sahni while the puppy husk was recovered from Mangi, a resident of Kirpalpur village yesterday. Earlier, the Phagwara police had arrested four drug peddlers and recovered 190 gm intoxicant powder at different places in Phagwara recently.

The accused were identified as Dalwinder Singh of Balalon village, Prince Sharma of Ranipur Kamboha village, Raj Kumar, a resident of Ranipur village and Baljinder Kumar of Jaitowal village. All the accused were produced before a local court today, who has sent them to 14-day judicial remand. — OC
