Ludhiana City Bus Service Ltd has discontinued service on the route of low-floor buses running through Bhai Randhir Singh Nagar. The trial run on this route had started in March and after continuing it for around 20 days, service on the route was discontinued, as this particular route was not proving to be financially viable. Moreover, not many people avail themselves of this service.
Bid to break ATM at BRS Nagar

A man made a futile attempt to break an automatic teller machine (ATM) of Punjab National Bank near Defence Colony in BRS Nagar here last night.
His activities were recorded by the close circuit television (CCTV) camera installed on the ATM.

19 girl students get scholarships

Shakti. Around 19 girls were given scholarships at a programme organised at the school. The scholarships were given to daughters of handicapped parents, widows and war martyrs to complete their school education, under the project.
