The Delhi government has extended a free-of-interest loan of Rs 1 crore to each corporation for the purpose of approval of layout plan (LoP), meant to sanction the building project of unauthorized colonies, said Urban Development Minister Arvinder Singh Lovely.

He accused the ruling party in all the three corporations of not approving the LoP in respect of 895 unauthorized colonies regularized by the Delhi government.

“The civic bodies are under wrong impression that LoP is only to be approved for 312 colonies on private lands whereas the city government has mandated that the process is to be completed in respect of all 895 such colonies,” said Lovely.
