Dullo: Extreme factionalism tarnishing Congress
image
Hoshiarpur, October 14 This was stated by former PPCC president Shamsher Singh Dullo while talking to mediapersons here this afternoon. Without mentioning the name of anyone, he said some of the opportunists had somehow succeeded in capturing the key posts in the PPCC and were now trying to sabotage party programmes being carried out to oppose the anti-people policies of the SAD-BJP government. But they would not succeeded in their mission. He had already briefed about their anti-parties activities to the Congress high command. Congress workers should not be disheartened from the prevailing circumstances in the party. He said General Secretary of the AICC Rahul Gandhi was future of India and the Congress. He would definitely take the party to the height of its previous glory and India would become the biggest power of the world. Referring to the hike in prices of essential commodities, Dullo said the Union as well as the state government should take effective steps to bring down the skyrocketing prices at the earliest. Referring to ongoing the NREGA scheme in Punjab, he alleged that it had become a flop show of the Punjab Government as the latter had failed in its effective implementation. He criticised the SAD-BJP government for its failure on all fronts. He said on account of acute shortage of electricity, many of the industrial units had either been closed or shifted to the neighbouring states. He was accompanied by Congress leaders Jasbir Singh Pal, Ram Rattan and Pankaj Kirpal.
