Fodder scam: 15 sentenced

Ranchi, December 21
A CBI court here today sentenced 15 persons to prison for six years in a fodder scam case. The court slapped a fine of Rs 50,000 each on 10 former officials of the animal husbandry department and five suppliers. They would face an additional sentence of three months if they failed to pay the fine. The case pertained to the fraudulent withdrawal of Rs 54.80 lakh from the treasury at Hazaribagh. — PTI
