Rainfall: Rain/thundershowers occurred at many places in East Uttar Pradesh and at isolated places in Haryana, Jammu and Kashmir, Rajasthan, West Uttar Pradesh and Uttaranchal. Weather was dry in the rest of the region. The chief amounts of rainfall in cms are: Haryana: Kosli 2 and Nagina and Rewari 1 each, East Rajasthan: Kotkasim, Lalsot and Malsisar 1 each, West Rajasthan: Taranagar 2, East Uttar Pradesh: Jaunpur 8, Ayodhya, Basti and Mukhlispur 5 each, Kanpur and Turtipar 4 each, Bahraich, Bhinga, Gonda and Sultanpur 3 each and Banda, Chandradeepghat, Chillaghat, Elginbridge, Kakardharighat, Neemsar and Shardanagar 1 each, West Uttar Pradesh: Gomatia 1 and Uttaranchal: Mukteshwar 5.

Forecast (valid until the morning of July 18): Rain/thundershowers will occur at many places in Uttar Pradesh and Uttaranchal, at a few places in Himachal Pradesh and East Rajasthan and at isolated places in Haryana, Punjab and West Rajasthan. Weather will be mainly dry in Jammu and Kashmir.

Heavy rainfall warning: Heavy rain is likely at isolated placed in Uttar Pradesh and Uttaranchal during the next 48 hours.
