No road tax to be levied on school buses
Chandigarh, July 16
No road tax will be levied on the buses which ferry school children in the city. The State Transport Authority (STA), Chandigarh, in a clarification to the Registering and Licensing Authority (RLA), Chandigarh, has stated that on the pattern of school-owned buses, no tax can be levied on the school buses which run on private service vehicle (PSV) permit.

Mohali man posing as journalist held

The Chandigarh Police today arrested 49-year-old Chander Mohan Grover for impersonating as a journalist working with a news channel. Chander Mohan, a resident of Phase II, Mohali, was arrested on a complaint by Mr Paramjit Singh, Manager, Kisan Bhavan.

Plan for motorised rehris hits roadblock

Vivek Mishra is an idealist - a believer in the power of theatre to change things. At the National School of Drama, he was not taught the skill of packaging his art. But he has picked it up along the way lest his survival as an activist of theatre suffers.
