Rainfall: Rain/thundershowers have occurred at a few places in Haryana and Uttaranchal and at isolated places in Himachal Pradesh, east Rajasthan and east Uttar Pradesh. Weather was mainly dry in the rest of the region. The chief amounts of rainfall in cms are: Haryana: Ayanagar 3 and New Delhi (Palam and Safdarjung) 1 each, Himachal Pradesh: Shimla 2 and Kandaghat 1, east Uttar Pradesh: Gorakhpur and Kakarahi 1 each and Uttaranchal: Mukteshwar, Srinagar and Tehri 1 each.

Temperatures: Past 24 hours change: The maximum temperatures rose largely in Himachal Pradesh, rose appreciably in Punjab and west Rajasthan, rose in Jammu and Kashmir, fell in east Uttar Pradesh and changed little elsewhere. Departure: This was above normal in east Uttar Pradesh, appreciably below normal in Punjab, below normal in Haryana and normal in the rest of the region. The highest temperature in the region was 42.6°C recorded at Varanasi A.P (Uttar Pradesh).

Forecast valid until the morning of June 23: Rain/thundershowers are likely at a few places in Himachal Pradesh, Jammu and Kashmir, Uttar Pradesh and Uttaranchal and at isolated places in the rest of the region.Isolated thunder-showers are likely in west Uttar Pradesh and Uttaranchal.

Forecast for Delhi and neighbourhood valid until the morning of June 23: Partly cloudy sky with possibility of rain/thundershowers accompanied with squall in some areas. The maximum temperature will be around 38°C.
