Farmers’ property not to be mortgaged for loan up to Rs 1 lakh
Bathinda, March 10
Farmers in Punjab will no longer need to mortgage their property for a loan of up to Rs 1 lakh, stated Chairman of the Punjab State Farmers Commission, Dr GS Kalkat, today while interacting with reporters after the Regional Kisan Mela where he promised the farmers to take up their demand of the withdrawal of VAT on cotton with the state government.
